Muncie’s own musicians - America’s Hometown Band - is performing at the  closing ceremony of the week-long 9/11 Flags of Honor project, outdoors at Minnetrista. A half-hour of live patriotic tunes by the band precedes the 6:00 pm program of fallen hero remembrances.

 “Lessons in Harmony”  brings together - Live, On-stage - the musicians of the East Central Indiana Chamber Orchestra (ECICO) and the young voices of Muncie Northside AND Muncie Southside Middle Schools.  It's a treat to see & hear these school kids creating new connections through music. 

  A special & delightful performance of holiday tunes, by the very talented flautists of the Central Indiana Flute Choir, an ensemble from America's Hometown Band of Muncie. From the tiny, highest piccolo to the very large and low-tone bass flutes - this group just sounds angelic!  Fabulous new family outing, Free Admission & Parking, and all are welcome.

ECICO - East Central Indiana Chamber Orchestra - invites you to help celebrate the return of “All Things Spring” - with an evening of seven short, light-hearted works from the likes of Mozart, Beethoven, Lin Manuel Miranda, and more.   Free admission & parking. All are welcome!

“Love Is In the Air” – jazz up your summer night on June 8 with the fabulous Big Band musicians from Muncie's own America's Hometown Band. This group of top-notch performers is led by jazz trumpeter pro Larry McWilliams, also a BSU music professor, emeritus. 

Enjoy this program of treasured love songs done right – plus beautiful vocals by special guest artist, Cozette Myers, professional vocalist from Indianapolis.

  At 6:30 pm, 20 Trombonists take the Canan Commons stage to sound off their horns in 4-part harmony.  It’s the Bernie Pressler Trombone Choir with Director Don Lamb. Make it your first encounter with Brass en Masse!   Free listening for all 🎵

  Big Band music is all about feelings of love - dreamy, exciting, lost & regained. This show brings passionate tunes of both joy & and heartbreak from the likes of the big names - Miller, Dorsey, Ellington, Basie, May, Strayhorn, Nestico. And this AHB group can really belt it out for the audience on the lawn of this beautiful Minnetrista Blvd setting.

   The full Concert Band from America’s Hometown Band is a traditional part of the Old Washington St. Festival – this year entertaining festival goers on Sunday the17th at 2 pm, from the bright red striped tent in the street at the intersection of E. Washington & Monroe. A free, public event.The audience chairs are under shade, too!
