Since 1985 the Guerrilla Girls, an anonymous group of gorilla-masked activists, have been battling sexism and racism in art, politics, film, and popular culture. They use facts, humor and outrageous visuals to expose discrimination and corruption.

The YWCA 2nd Annual Rummage Sale will feature a variety of furniture, clothes, home goods, and electronics.
There will be multiple first edition books from famous authors Margaret Thatcher, Sigmund Freud, and Thornton Wilder. There’s also a brand-new Nintendo Wii still in the box that will be at our sale. We have kitchen tables, desks, couches, and bed frames that will be available, too!
The rummage sale will be on Saturday, February 21. The rummage will last all day- from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Come early before all the great deals are gone! There’s sure to be something at the sale for everyone!Mar 23, 2015

Join us for the Facing Depression in East Central Indiana Monologues and Book Launch. Admission is FREE, and attendees will receive a copy of the book (donations are welcomed). The night will include theatrical readings from the book as well as a showing of a short documentary about how this project was put together.

Facing Depression in East Central Indiana is an affiliate of The Facing Project, a national organization that connects people through stories to strengthen communities. Founded in Muncie, Indiana, in 2012, The Facing Project has led three other projects in Muncie that debuted at Muncie Civic Theatre: Facing Poverty in Delaware County (2012), Facing Autism in Muncie (2013), and Facing Disabilities in East Central Indiana (2014).

Celebrate Our City: Sesquicentennial Ball

Cost: $25 per attendee The Horizon Convention Center will host “Celebrate Our City: The Sesquicentennial Ball” on September 19, 2015. The black-tie optional evening will feature a dinner, dance and awards to commemorate Muncie’s celebration of 150 years and honor Muncie’s history of public service. Public service awards will be presented by Mayor Dennis Tyler, Muncie Police Chief, Steve Stewart and Muncie Fire Chief, Edward Bell.
The Sesquicentennial Ball is open to the public and will provide an opportunity to honor Muncie’s 150 years and show support for public service within our community. The cost is $25 per person ($50 per couple) and tickets are available until September 11, 2015 at the Horizon Convention Center Reception Desk or online at www.muncie.ticketleap.com. The event is from 6:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. and tickets purchased before August 14th include VIP admission at 5:30 p.m. which features an opportunity to meet the mayor and enjoy a complimentary Signature Cocktail before the event begins.

This event is in honor of Muncie and those who make this community a great place to live and work. 15 stories of those who have faced Cancer in East Central Indiana, 15 writers who carried their stories, and 15 actors who will bring the stories to life on stage. Join The Facing Project, Little Red Door Cancer Services of East Central Indiana, and the Ingelhart Scholars from Ball State University as the community comes together to celebrate stories of survival.
This theatrical production is FREE and open to the public. All attendees will receive a copy of the book: "Facing Cancer in East Central Indiana."
