The YWCA 2nd Annual Rummage Sale will feature a variety of furniture, clothes, home goods, and electronics.

There will be multiple first edition books from famous authors Margaret Thatcher, Sigmund Freud, and Thornton Wilder. There’s also a brand-new Nintendo Wii still in the box that will be at our sale. We have kitchen tables, desks, couches, and bed frames that will be available, too!

The rummage sale will be on Saturday, February 21. The rummage will last all day- from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Come early before all the great deals are gone! There’s sure to be something at the sale for everyone!

Brazilian artist Carol Rossetti will be presenting and selling prints of her art as well as discussing her experiences in the art world.

R.A.C.E. stands for Reconciliation Acheived through Community Engagement and was created to initiate thoughtful conversation and promote activities that focus intentional efforts towards reconciliation, equality and respect for all races and cultures. Through public community dialogue we believe we can strengthen relationships in our city. We strive to eradicate racism and promote reconciliation in Muncie, Indiana. We meet monthly on the 1st Tuesdays of the month from 6-8p at rotating venues throughout the city of Muncie. The Horizon Convention Center will host “Celebrate Our City: The Sesquicentennial Ball” on September 19, 2015. The black-tie optional evening will feature a dinner, dance and awards to commemorate Muncie’s celebration of 150 years and honor Muncie’s history of public service. Public service awards will be presented by Mayor Dennis Tyler, Muncie Police Chief, Steve Stewart and Muncie Fire Chief, Edward Bell.

The Sesquicentennial Ball is open to the public and will provide an opportunity to honor Muncie’s 150 years and show support for public service within our community.  The cost is $25 per person ($50 per couple) and tickets are available until September 11, 2015 at the Horizon Convention Center Reception Desk or online at www.muncie.ticketleap.com. The event is from 6:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. and tickets purchased before August 14th include VIP admission at 5:30 p.m. which features an opportunity to meet the mayor and enjoy a complimentary Signature Cocktail before the event begins.

Men of the Muncie community are volunteering to walk in high heels to compete against each other for your votes. You will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite men at the event or before, by visiting our website at www.muncieywca.org. There will be a meet and greet with the Ball State Mens Basketball team at 10AM before the event. Please come out and help raise awareness and support for the YWCA of Muncie!
