Many things set the Music for All Summer Symposium apart and one of those is the nightly concert series. Each evening features artists and groups presenting a variety of musical performance genres.

The Jazz Ambassadors—America’s Big Band is the official touring big band of the United States Army. This 19-member ensemble, formed in 1969, has received great acclaim both at home and abroad performing America’s original art form: jazz.

Concerts by the Jazz Ambassadors are designed to entertain all types of audiences. Custom compositions and arrangements highlight the group’s creative talent and gifted soloists. Their diverse repertoire includes big band, swing, bebop, Latin, contemporary jazz, standards, popular tunes, Dixieland, vocals, and patriotic selections.

TICKETS: Free admission, balcony seating only. You can pick up your complimentary ticket prior to the performance at the Emens Auditorium ticket office.

The program features the full concert band, superb soloists and guest conductors, in the wonderful acoustics of Emens Auditorium at BSU.

Enjoy musical sounds from brilliant composers such as Rachmaninov, Shostakovich, Irving Berlin, Jay Bocock, and Joe Raposo - the fellow who wrote Kermit's tune, Bein' Green.

Bluegrass greats Balsam Range will perform in a FREE, all ages outdoor concert as part of the Muncie Three Trails Music Series. The concert will take place at Canan Commons in downtown Muncie, IN on Friday, July 13th at 7 PM. Flatland Harmony Experiment will open the show.

Balsam Range is one of the most decorated bluegrass groups of the last decade, receiving 8 nominations from the IBMA in 2017 alone, including winning the award for Album of the Year and being nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Instrumental Group of the Year, and Vocal Group of the Year.

African-American Sacred Steel Gospel legends the Campbell Brothers will perform in a FREE, all ages outdoor concert as part of the Muncie Three Trails Music Series. The concert will take place at Canan Commons in downtown Muncie, IN on Saturday, July 28th at 7 PM. The Freetown Village Singers from the Madame Walker Theatre in Indianapolis will open the show.

The Campbell Brothers have received widespread recognition for their work presenting African-American Sacred Steel music, with pedal-steel guitarist Chuck Campbell receiving a National Heritage Fellowship recipient for his contributions in preserving the heritage of African-American gospel music. The full concert band,, with featured soloists on xylophone, flute, cornet, and voice, entertain with a variety program of familiar hum-along tunes.

Folk/country duo and New West recording artists The Secret Sisters will perform with full band in a FREE, all ages outdoor concert as part of the Muncie Three Trails Music Series. The concert will take place at Canan Commons in downtown Muncie, IN on Saturday, September 1st at 7 PM. Modern folk duo Von Strantz will open the show.

The Secret Sisters have shared the stage with the likes of Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, and Paul Simon among many others. You Don't Own Me Anymore, the group's excellent third long-player, was nominated for a Grammy in 2017 for Best Folk Album. 

  This Free Concert Band program of fun summer music starts at 2:00 pm. Free seating is provided at the Festival Performance Tent, and the public is invited to attend.

The outdoor Performance Tent is situated at the crossing of E. Washington & Monroe Streets in Muncie.

All-female Mariachi band Flor De Toloache will perform in a FREE, all ages outdoor concert as part of the Muncie Three Trails Music Series. The concert will take place at Canan Commons in downtown Muncie, IN on Thursday, September 20th at 7 PM. Dance troupes Anderson Ballet Folklorico and Ballet Folklorico Mosaicos will open the show with traditional Mexican dances.

Flor De Toloache are pioneers in updating Mariachi music for contemporary audiences. Their work has won acclaim in many quarters. The group's self-titled debut album was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Ranchero/Mariachi album, and their 2017 second release, Las Caras Lindas, won that award.

Bring your family, your blankets and a picnic and join us downtown during ArtsWalk at the corner of Charles and Walnut Streets for this free musical event.

Christian Ministries presents the 38th Annual Thanks Singing Festival.  This event is a unified, cross-cultural, cross-racial celebration featuring the musical talents of community members from several churches and places of worship throughout Delaware County.  This is a free event; a free-will offering will be taken and non-perishable food items will be collected.
