At the Human Library, our books are humans, people who have stories to tell about bias, stereotyping, prejudice, bullying, or adversity they have experienced. At the event, you will have opportunities to talk with people you would not otherwise have a chance to meet and talk to about their topics. It is a chance to challenge your own stereotypes and build understanding in our community While breaking down prejudice and bias.

Free Community Event

Calling all gardeners to join us at Minnetrista to celebrate National Seed Swap Day! Gardeners can come together and swap the seeds from their favorite: flowers, vegetable, or herbs, which is great for improving and maintaining biodiversity. If you don’t have any seeds and want to start your collection this is the place to be.

Bring family and friends together to the newly reimagined Oakhurst home for an evening filled with games and fun!

Come make uniquely designed sun catchers at Minnetrista’s Glass Workshop: You & Me! This is an opportunity for parents and children to imagine and create together. Create unique memories and learn new skills as you are guided by Minnetrista’s glass experts.

Gather with friends and family this winter to discover various fresh, local, and remarkable finds during the Farmers Market at Minnetrista. Don’t forget to visit The Orchard Shop when you visit the indoor market every third Saturday of the month!

Bring friends and family together to create your very own unique stained glass mirror! Together with Minnetrista glass experts you will cut, solder, and design your project. All tools, supplies, and safety gear will be provided. This workshop welcomes both beginners and intermediate level glass workers. 

Who’s ready for an adventure? Bring your family and friends for a day full of free adventures together at Minnetrista! There will be lawn games, fun activities, and crafts! Additional activities will be hosted by Let There Be Art, Academy of Model Aeronautics, Muncie Symphony Orchestra, and Toys Forever.  Explore Minnetrista’s campus with our explorer bags and find entertainment scattered everywhere!
