Learn a new skill in a fun and safe environment as you create unique glass beads in a guided open flame class! Gain access to a wide variety of glass colors and textures, tools, kilns, torches, and safety gear.

Minnetrista is excited to offer glassworking space and materials to those glassworkers in the community who have already attended a flameworking workshop with us in the past. As you seek to continue honing your glassworking skills, Minnetrista will provide an open environment where you can experiment creatively and learn adventurously. During these sessions, attendees may continue practicing projects and techniques previously learned in guided workshop classes.

Join the Minnetrista Horticulture team for a special volunteer day to help maintain and further our lively gardens! Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn and grow in their knowledge of the garden cultivation alongside helpful professionals. Whether cleaning and preparing soil for future seeds or digging and planting, there’s always plenty of work to be done!

Experience the fun of creating a fused glass landscape at a Minnetrista glass workshop! We’ll teach you how to cut and arrange different shapes, sizes, and colors of glass, and how to fuse them all together using a kiln. All tools, supplies, and safety gear will be provided

Yes chef! Grab your aprons budding chefs, the kitchen awaits in an upper-level, summer camp at Minnetrista. You’ll dish out fun, new recipes, learn how to master appliances, and even discover better techniques to expand your culinary palates. For young chefs 11–14 years old. Lunch provided.

For this exciting Tea & Talk hors d’oeuvres and tea will be served in the newly opened Oakhurst home! Come for an opportunity to see the updates Minnetrista has made to the Oakhurst experience and get firsthand information from the team who worked on the project.

Most folks are familiar with the classic Brothers Grimm story, Little Red Riding Hood. Over the years there have been many reinterpretations of the beloved faerie tale. Minnetrista Theatre Preserves have developed a performance that attempts to understand, and harmonize the many different versions that have emerged from a variety of different cultures. Embarking on a journey to deliver canned goods to her grandmother’s house, Red meets a writer with a terrible case of writer’s block. Together the two of them explore the diverse interpretations of Little Red Riding Hood, including a brand new version set in space!

The production is inspired by the imagination of Elisabeth “Betty” Ball and her historic book collection. Throughout her life, she collected all sorts of different versions of faerie tales from different cultures. She even wrote her own faerie tales, poems, and plays. When you see our Little Red Riding Hood, we hope that you are inspired to make your own version or maybe you want to make a completely new story!

It’s a blast with glass! Each day is packed with exciting projects, which includes using real tools to design glass art. From torch flames to grinding, campers will try it all! For young artists 11–14 years old. Campers will need to bring their own lunch every day.
